The Challenge of Local Creation

Singbingshan is a group of local culture, art and design-related Keelung youths who, through “experience economy”, “cultural and creative products”, and “design services” as the main axis of creative action, jointly conceptualize, promote, and practice “art co-creation” as a local understanding, dialogue, and creation.

In order to realize their common vision, Lin Shuhao and business mentor Ethan Liu have designed a brand new business model to promote tourism innovation in Zhengbin Fishing Harbor. In addition to developing local emerging business opportunities, they have also stepped out of Keelung to promote design, co-creation, and experiential services to different corners of Taiwan, making Singbingshan a model for aspiring returnees to start up businesses in their hometowns.

Action Programs

In the process of long-term counseling, we have established a new positioning as “Taiwan's Leading Brand in Travel and Creativity” and built multiple revenue streams:

  • Inviting creators to co-create - art workshops

  • Passing on the story of the land - Picture book creation

  • Online and offline marketing techniques - Mass fundraising

  • Developing product uniqueness - Product design

  • In-depth travel experience - book tours

  • Re-editing Local Charms - Publications

  • What to do when you receive a government tender for the first time

  • Using curatorial power to organize attractive events

“ History has given this place many possibilities and opportunities, Zhengbin has always been an important meeting point, the landscape remains unchanged, only the people and the times are changing.”
