If this is the first time you've heard of Steampunk and you're not familiar with it, let nspace introduce you to Steampunk, as well as a few classic styles and examples of Steampunk, and take you on a journey through this Steampunk competition!

What is Steampunk?

The name Steam Punk comes from a combination of the words Steam and Punk. Steam refers to a mechanical device that uses steam as a power source, while punk is a subcultural movement with a rebellious and independent spirit. Steampunk is usually set in the industrial era, incorporating industrial elements such as mechanical gears, ducts, screws, and copper pipes into design and art, and emphasizing the aesthetic values of mechanics and engineering. For example, the castle in the famous animation, Hall's Moving Castle, is in the aesthetic style of Steampunk.

Steampunk is also a cultural trend and art style that combines the romance of the Victorian era with the technological fantasies of the Industrial Revolution of the late 19th century. It combines classical steam-powered technology, mechanical devices and industrial elements with elements of fantasy, adventure and science fiction to create a unique worldview.

Such a unique worldview is often filled with elements of adventure, exploration and fantasy. In this world, one can see steam-powered airships, mechanical golems, time machines, and strange mechanical devices. Characters in steampunk works often wear Victorian-era clothing and handmade tools and weapons, creating a retro and sci-fi style. For example, the famous online game, League of Legends, has many characters in the Steampunk style, and their 2022 animation, “The Arcane,” is also filled with Steampunk fantasy.

Steampunk also symbolizes the fusion of the retro and the future, combining the retro style of the Victorian era with future technology to create a unique sense of time and space interlacing. For example, the airships and mechanical devices in Steampunk may be steam-powered, but at the same time have the appearance of modern technology.

Regular Division

15,000 SAND will be distributed to the top finishers as follows:

1st place: 6,000 SAND

2nd place: 3,500 SAND

3rd place: 2,000 SAND

4th through 10th place: 500 SAND each!

*The top 3 finishers in the Regular Division can cast their assets.

Novice Division

5,000 SAND will be distributed to the top finishers as follows:

1st Place: 1,500 SAND

2nd Place: 1,000 SAND

3rd Place: 750 SAND

4th through 10th Place: 250 SAND each.

Equipment Category

5,000 SAND will be distributed to the top finishers as follows:

1st Place: 1,500 SAND

2nd Place: 1,000 SAND

3rd Place: 750 SAND

4th through 10th Place: 250 SAND each.
